Junior Achievement EQT STEM Expos are opportunities for eighth grade students to participate in four sessions based on careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.  Many of the tutorials will focus around the natural gas industry and the opportunities available in the industry. Volunteers from local companies present about their jobs and how their positions pertain in the STEM fields.

In December 2014, Junior Achievement held their first EQT STEM Expo at Community College of Beaver County.  This educational event hosted 50 students from West Allegheny School District where they rotated through four workshops exposing them to hands-on activities in STEM education.  Volunteer instructors from Waste Management, Calgon Carbon, Allegheny Conference on Community Development and BWT Land Management introduced these young people to concepts in STEM while showcasing careers in these fields as well as the educational pathways they need to take to be successful.
