JA of Western Pennsylvania Scholarships
Due to school closures, we are extending our scholarship deadline to 5/15/2020. School teachers are still accessible and available during regular school hours for documentation completion. They can scan, email, or mail the required forms for application completion to parents to print out and to be mailed in with the rest of the application. We, at Junior Achievement, WILL NOT be accepting electronic documentation as we have too high a volume of applicants for this to be an option. All parts of the application need to be mailed in together. If you are completing multiple applications (K-11th grade students), please include ALL documents per application. For the tax documentations, we only require 1040 forms up to the signature page (~2pages) that show proof of dependents and AGI (we don't need schedules, etc).
For students experiencing JA day cancellations, the student must have at least participated in JA (with proper documentation) in the 2018-2019 school year to be eligible. Please keep in mind that all awards and amount of awards are contingent upon funding received by Junior Achievement. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you posted with any changes to our process, and thank you for your understanding.
Junior Achievement of Western PA is proud to support JA students as they continue their education. Through EITC and OSTC funding, as well as individual and corporate donations, Junior Achievement is able to offer a variety of scholarships to k-12 students that have participated in different types of JA programming. Please read each scholarship description for specific criteria and checklist carefully before applying.
All scholarships must be postmarked by April 3, 2020, and returned to your designated JAWPA location. No applications will be accepted after this date. Winning students will be notified in late May-early June.
