Project Opportunity Pittsburgh
Help Wanted in pittsburgh
Have you thought about what will happen when one of our largest generations, the Baby Boomers, retire? Who will fill these jobs? Are today's graduates prepared to enter the workforce and fill them? If not, how do we develop their skills to do so? Junior Achievement has the turn-key programs that infuse careers, business ownership and money management directly into our young people's education as early as kindergarten. Corporate and community volunteers are bridging the gap for our students between classroom theory and real world application and teaching them the soft skills and life skills they will need to succeed in business and in life.
Through a new undertaking, JA's Project Opportunity Pittsburgh, JA and our partners are working to provide transformational educational resources, touchpoints and JA programming to every 5th-8th grade student in our 10-county region including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties. These educational experiences will position JA as a solution provider to the documented workforce needs of our region.
