Tax Credit Programs

Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)

Since it's inception in 2001, the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) provided through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) has enabled Junior Achievement organizations across Pennsylvania to maintain and expand existing programs to reach a much larger group of students. Specific to our area, Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania continues to grow and expand its reach throughout the region due to support through the EITC program.

At the conclusion of the 2015-16 academic year, JA programs reached more than 67,000 students in western Pennsylvania. Despite rapid economic changes to our region, Junior Achievement continues to grow, while maintaining a solid financial foundation for future growth. EITC contributions are a key ingredient for our organization to maintain a strong presence in school districts across the region, and the state.

Junior Achievement invites local businesses to support JA programs through the EITC program. Below are important documents and forms to download and print.

Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program (OSTC)

Junior Achievement was recently approved as an eligible organization through the OSTC program, similar to the state's EITC program provided through the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED). Through JA's Achievement Scholarship, business contributions will be used by Junior Achievement to provide tuition assistance in the form of scholarships to eligible students residing within the boundaries of a low-achieving school to attend a nonpublic school.

Junior Achievement invites local businesses to support JA through the OSTC program. For more information, visit the PA Department of Community & Economic Development website at www.newpa.com
