JA Business Challenge in Metro Milwaukee

What is the JA Business Challenge?

Teamwork. Competition. Market Share. Cash. A Championship Title. Who will succeed? More than 90 of the best student CEO's in the Metro Milwaukee area converage at Briggs & Stratton to compete for the JA Metro Milwaukee Business Challenge Championship title.

On the day of the challenge, students arrive at 8:30 a.m. energized and ready to play. After a complimentary breakfast and time to meet their volunteer mentors, the fun begins! Lunch is provided along with the chance to meet the other teams. It's a fight to the finish as Round Two begins after lunch. The Championship concludes with the announcement of the winners at 2:30 pm.

The JA Business Challenge is uniquely designed to unleash creativity, test leadership skills and demonstrate the competitive nature of the free enterprise system.

What are the prizes?

The top teams from each Industry receive prizes, and the top three teams from the Championship Industry receive prizes. The top two teams in the Championship Industry advance to compete in the Wisconsin JA Business Challenge. Each student from the top team in the Championship Industry will receive a $750 scholarship for post-secondary education, and each student from the second and third place teams will receive Kohl's gift cards. The students from the top team in each of the remaining three Industries also receive a prize. For the scholarships, all funds will be paid directly to the school once the student has shown proof of enrollment.

Please know, prizes will only be awarded to participants who are lawfully in the United States.
