The Junior Achievement office in Portage & Wood Counties is one of 12 area offices in the state. Governed by a local board of directors comprised of business and community leaders, the Portage & Wood Counties area is serving over 2,500 students in approximately 150 classrooms in Adams, Juneau, Marquette, Portage, Waushara, and Wood Counties.

JA Business Challenge - Portage & Wood Counties
JA Business Challenge is a one-day event where high school students work as a team to navigate running a virtual company. Success of the competition depends on decisions about product pricing, marketing, research and development, and business practice. Win or lose, the JA Business Challenge provides an understanding of how management decisions affect a company's bottom line.
JA Business Challenge offers:
- Scholarships to top placing teams
- Business mentor for each team of 2 or 3
- Real-life business application
- Several rounds to perfect business skills
- Resume and college application content
