Position available: Fundraising Events Specialist Job Description
Junior Achievement of WNY, a leading nonprofit organization delivering work and career readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship programming for grades K-12, is seeking a full-time Events Specialist.
This position organizes fundraising events with specific monetary goals, develops timetables and marketing pieces, engages volunteers, secures sponsors and prizes incentives, and assures the efficient operation of the various events. Social media and other marketing/media duties, as well as light administrative duties included.
A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent is required, and 2-3 years event planning and fundraising experience preferred. Driver's license and reliable transportation a must. Individual should have the ability to manage multiple projects, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work with a variety of constituents, strong organizational skills and high-level attention to detail is necessary.
