Other Corporate Giving Ideas
Many companies will match the donations made by their employees and their spouses and retirees. Your company may increase or even double your gift to Junior Achievement of WNY. Please check with your Human Resources or personnel office to determine if your gift to JA qualifies for a matching gift from your company. Please contact Tammy Bixby for more information.
JEANS/CASUAL DAY/SPECIAL DAYS
Many local businesses hold casual day or jeans day, or other group events, and the proceeds are donated to Junior Achievement of WNY. When planning such an event, please contact JAWNY. We can help your company plan, and provide employees with more information about JA. Please contact Tammy Bixby about holding a special dress day in support of JA.
Junior Achievement of WNY always welcomes your donation of an item or service to be used in conjunction with a special event auction, raffle to raise funds or prize for a student competition. Items we are always hoping to secure are electronics, such as iPads, iPods and other electronics and gift cards.
You may also donate items or services for JA to use in daily operations and/or in serving the children. There are many items and staples that we need every day, like bottled water, soda or snacks for events and office supplies.
If you have the ability to donate products or services toward helping us prepare our youth for the future, please contact Tammy Bixby.
UNITED WAY OF BUFFALO AND ERIE COUNTY
Designating Junior Achievement of WNY on your United Way form ensures that your donation goes further in the community. Junior Achievement programs support schools throughout the Western New York, and provide critically needed financial literacy and workplace readiness skills to our youth.
When given the opportunity at your workplace to donate to the United Way, please consider designating your funds specifically to our organization via their Donor Choice program. Please specify code 1755 when making your donation. Please contact Lisa Roy regarding your gift through UWBEC.
